Baccarat Procedures

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards. Cards that are valued under ten are of their printed value while at the same time ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Wagers are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual people; they just act as the 2 hands to be dealt).

2 hands of 2 cards will now be dealt to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The score for every hand is the grand total of the 2 cards, but the 1st digit is dumped. For eg, a hand of seven and 5 produces a tally of two (sevenplusfive=twelve; drop the ‘1′).

A 3rd card might be dealt depending on the foll. rules:

- If the gambler or banker has a score of 8 or 9, each gamblers stand.

- If the bettor has 5 or lower, he/she hits. gamblers stand otherwise.

- If gambler stands, the banker hits of five or lower. If the gambler hits, a chart is used to figure if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The greater of the 2 scores will be the winner. Victorious wagers on the banker pay out 19 to twenty (even money less a 5% commission. Commission is kept track of and cleared out when you leave the table so make sure you have dollars left before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay one to 1. Winning bets for tie commonly pay out 8 to 1 and occasionally 9 to 1. (This is not a good wager as ties will occur lower than 1 every ten hands. Definitely don’t try placing bets on a tie. Nevertheless odds are emphatically better – nine to one versus eight to 1)

When played accurately, baccarat presents fairly decent odds, apart from the tie wager obviously.

Baccarat Strategy

As with most games, Baccarat has some established misunderstandings. 1 of which is close to a roulette misconception. The past is never actually an indicator of future actions. Monitoring of past results on a chart is undoubtedly a total waste of paper as well as an insult to the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most common and possibly most successful technique is the 1-3-2-six method. This scheme is used to amplify payout and cutting back risk.

start by betting one unit. If you win, add one more to the two on the table for a total of 3 on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have six on the table, clear away 4 so you have two on the third wager. If you win the 3rd bet, add two to the four on the table for a total of 6 on the fourth bet.

If you lose on the initial bet, you suck up a loss of 1. A win on the 1st bet followed by loss on the second brings about a loss of two. Wins on the 1st two with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first three with a loss on the fourth mean you breakeven. A win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of 10. In other words you can get beaten the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
